Day 2 - Tuesday

Had a lie in until 8 this morning before we walked around Florence. Went to Boboli gardens and Palazzo Pitti. We walked to the top..Emilia was first and Mrs Thompson was last... we crossed the famous bridge where all the jewellers shops are based. It was amazing!! After lunch and ice cream Rachael, Emilia and Aaron had chocolate Oliver had lemon.Mrs Norton had coconut n strawberry n Mrs Thompson had cherry - All delicious! 27 flavours to go! Aaron is the most adventurous!!! we then tackled 414 steps of the Campanile tower just to see the view. Mrs Norton was first striding out ahead, Mrs Thompson was last!! and is glad she went up as she is never going up again!!! Oliver laughed until he cried as Mrs Thompson clambered out of the hole gasping for breath!!!! much to every ones amusement!!! however she was first down on steady ground!
After spending our money in the Market, Rachael was the shopping queen, we saw the statue of David at Academia museum - we will never forgot it!
Love to you all!

Hello everyone...you still all sound like you're enjoying every minute! The ice cream sounds amazing...I had a yoghurt after my lunch....not as exciting really! Can't believe that Mrs Thompson was the one lagging behind - you should have all been helping rather than laughing????? Fab that you have been shopping too - this would have been my favourite time. We are all really missing you at school but we are glad that you are having an amazing time. Enjoy Pisa tomorrow and take lots of pictures. Look after each other, Love to you all too from sunny Sunderland and Miss Fountain

The day sounds amazing, and not just the ice cream!
Were your legs tired? I know how you feel about towers Mrs Thompson, they are not my favourite places either and I seem to remember Oliver laughing at me also
Hope you can all keep your feet on firm ground today
Have you learnt / spoken any Italian yet?
    Hope the sun keeps shining

  7. Goodness me you must all be very tired after such a busy day, which, I must say sounds wonderful. No surprise with the choice of ice cream flavour for Rachel but you are all going to have to do some serious ice cream eating to be able to sample the remaining 27 flavours! I like Mrs Thompson's strategy of bringing up the rear to ensure there are no stragglers lost off the end, good thinking! Keep enjoying Rachel and we are looking forward to hearing about all of your Italy adventure. With all of our love Mam and Dad xxxx
